The diaspora market is unique in the sense that it straddles at least two countries, meaning two distinct markets: the residency market and the country of origin market. Diasporans often have a strong affinity for both, one being their present home and the other their formative home where they ultimately hope to one day return.

In the current scenario where Africa has very attractive opportunities in investments, the typical African diasporan is very keen to participate and reap the rewards of this frontier market. However, they also want assurance that their investments will be worthwhile.
