On 2nd May 2019, Cytonn Asset Managers Limited (CAML), the regulated affiliate of Cytonn Investments Management Plc, held a Pension Trustees’ Training at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club. The training covered the A to Z of investing in real estate.

Cytonn Asset Managers Limited focuses on Pension Fund Management and Collective Investments Schemes. CAML is registered and licensed as a fund manager by both the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) in Kenya.

Maurice Oduor addresses attendees

Maurice Oduor, the Principal Officer at CAML introduced the attendees to Cytonn and its products in both investments and real estate. He also outlined the business structure, focussing on where CAML fell in the overall arrangement.

Afterwards, Shiv Arora, the Head of Private Equity Real Estate took the attendees through a presentation of the Kenyan real estate market and the opportunities it presented for investors. Afterwards, the group was taken through the actual ways to invest in real estate, the process, raising funds, marketing and finally, exiting

Thereafter, Michelle Nyandiko from Enwealth led an informative session on regulatory approvals in real estate investments. The attendees were also taken through the RBA’s investment guidelines. They also had their questions answered by all the presenters.

The morning session ended with lunch and a tour of Cytonn’s real estate projects.
